Reflection from  Toine van Teeffelen, resident in Bethlehem. Indeed, the “enemy” is not visible. You can walk relaxed on the street. I hear about an Israeli who said she now understood what a curfew meant. But I think this is primarily a well-intentioned attempt at empathy, as a military curfew is not the same as a lockdown. And a siege like on Gaza is not the same as checkpoints between cities.  Written on 21 April 2020.  Read on.
