We had a full house for our screening of There is Another Way, a film that tells of the origins and ongoing work of Combatants for Peace. We also raised an amazing £640 for our friends in the Aida Youth Center.
Filmed after 7 October 2023 many of the interviews are very raw, highlighting the difficulty of reaffirming within both the Israeli and Palestinian community the desire to re-group and continue to work for peace and reconciliation between communities. They say of their work ” we know there is no future in this land for either of us without the other. Our safety, freedom and dignity are intertwined. We refuse to let hatred define our path”.
