Great success for our Walk with Courage

Today 19 of us took part in our fundraiser walk for our partners organisation the Aida Youth Centre in Bethlehem.  We stopped in several places to reflect on people and projects of courage and read poetry and stories reflecting the courage and SUMUD (steadfastness)  of the people of Palestine.  These included our olive tree, outside St Anselm’s Church, a piece of the Berlin Wall in the garden at the IWM, the Mary Seacole sculpture at St Thomas’s Hospital and the statues of Gandhi, Mandela and Millicent Fawcett in Parliament Square.

Those walking included Rev Nagase, a buddhist monk from Battersea Park, supporters from Bellingham, Barnet, Beckenham as well as Kennington and six members of our committee.Todate we have raised around £1300.00
